This Privacy Policy explains how Macro (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Macro mobile application.
Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide the core functionality of the app, including:
- Authentication information provided through Apple’s native iOS Passkeys
- Basic profile information, such as a display name used to personalize the app experience
- User-generated data, including saved preferences, lists, and liked recipes
- App usage data, collected to improve performance and reliability
We do not collect usernames or passwords. Authentication is handled entirely by Apple’s Passkey system.
How We Use Information
We use collected information solely to:
- Authenticate users securely
- Personalize recipe recommendations and in-app content
- Save user preferences and selections
- Improve app functionality, performance, and stability
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data.
Data may be processed by trusted service providers only as required to operate the app (such as cloud hosting or infrastructure services). These providers are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
Data Security
Authentication is managed through Apple’s built-in Passkey system. Macro does not store passwords.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect user data from unauthorized access or misuse.
Data Retention and Deletion
User data is retained only for as long as the account remains active.
When a user deletes their account:
- All associated profile data, preferences, lists, and liked recipes are permanently deleted
- No residual personal data is retained by the app
